What a Full Fence Replacement Includes
A replacement is not a new fence bolted onto old problems. We start from the ground up, so the new fence gets new posts and a clean line, and you never have to arrange a dumpster or a second crew.
- Tear-out and haul-away. We remove the old boards, rails and posts and take them away. It is included, not an add-on.
- New posts. Heavy-duty pressure-treated posts, or an upgrade to lifetime steel posts that never rot.
- Your choice of fence. Grade 1 or better western red cedar with stainless steel fasteners, vinyl, chain link, Colorbond steel or hog wire.
- Height and permit check. We check your city's height rules before anything is ordered, so the new fence passes.
- A written warranty. A limited 3-year workmanship warranty on eligible fence installs and a limited lifetime warranty on our metal posts. See our warranty page.

Portland Rules for a Replacement Fence
A replacement has to meet today's rules, not the ones in force when the old fence went up. Inside the City of Portland:
- In many zones a fence in the front setback can be no taller than 3 and a half feet, and side and rear fences can go up to 8 feet.
- A wood fence over 7 feet, a masonry fence over 4 feet, or a chain link or woven wire fence over 8 feet needs a building permit. A fence around a pool always does.
- Height is measured from the ground to the very top, and lattice and caps count.

Gorilla Works did an amazing job with my new privacy fence. It turned out even better than I hoped for. We had new vinyl windows installed about 4-5 wks ago by Gorilla Works. We needed 15 windows. We thought 15 windows were ordered and getting installed. Installation day came. 14 windows were installed and paid for. We still need a 15th window. After some confusion, some miscommunication. And a call from the owner. We are getting our 15th window!!
