Here is why that matters. Vancouver and Clark County set their own fence permit and height rules, and they are not the same as Portland’s. An Oregon-only contractor either cannot pull your permit or does not know the code they are building to. We do, so your fence goes up right the first time instead of getting flagged.

Vancouver Fences Follow Washington Rules, Not Oregon’s
Fence height limits and permit rules in Vancouver and Clark County are set by Washington and the local jurisdiction, and they differ from Portland’s. Front-yard and back-yard height limits are not the same, and a taller fence, a corner lot, or a fence near a right-of-way can each change what is allowed.
Because we are licensed in Washington, we know which rules apply to your address and we confirm them before we build, not after. That is the difference between a fence that passes and one that gets flagged and has to move.
